Punta Arenas – Balmaceda (en)

In 2015 Aerovías DAP opened the route Punta Arenas – Balmaceda, airport that connects with the region of Aysen.

This route has many benefits, as it not only means a way to travel efficiently and safely between two remote locations, but it established a speedy bridge between the magnificent Carretera Austral and the wonders of Magallanes.

We operate this hour-and-a-half flight weekly during the year, and twice a week in the summer.

Puerto Williams offers several attractions in eco-tourism, and it can only be reached by sea (traveling for over 30 hours) or in one of our daily flights departing from Punta Arenas.

Torres del Paine heli tours

One of the most visited, photographed and commented destinations in Patagonia: not for nothing is Torres del Paine the 8th Wonder of the World.

On board a DAP helicopter, travelers in groups of four will have the chance to withhold the amazing landscapes of Torres del Paine National Park from the sky. The scenic flights take place just outside the park’s limits, so as to minimize the impact for the local fauna.

Here, we can admire a body of water called Bahía Inútil, which leads to Almirantazgo Sound, along the Darwin Mountains and we arrive at Ainsworth Bay, a coastal inlet where Marinelli Glacier is located. Full Day Antarctica

You will be part of an unforgettable experience that will take you to one of the farthest points on Earth. The coldest, highest, windiest, driest and less populated continent. A continent that has been completely sunk by ice, which has not only shaped its topography, but also influenced its evolution.

On our aircraft you will fly over the Magellan Strait, Tierra del Fuego Island, Darwin Mountain Range, the mythical Cape Horn and the raft Drake Passage, finally arriving at King George Island, gateway to the White Continent, where most of the Antarctic scientific bases are located. Here you can also find the Chilean village “Villa Las Estrellas”, place where several Chilean families live all year round.

You will visit the impressive landscapes of the White Continent, meet part of its wildlife and experience the daily life of men populating this territory in the name of science and investigation.
